Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in Sajid Nadiadwala's new flick
Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in Sajid Nadiadwala's new flick: Deepika Padukone will reportedly play female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in Sajid Nadiadwala's Next, a romantic comedy tentatively titled Heer Ranjha.
The two young and rising stars have never been paired in a film earlier.
It was recently reported that Shahid had signed up for the film to be directed by Sabir Khan (Kambakth Ishq).
According to a Deccan Chronicle source, Khan had wanted either Katrina or Deepika for the role. It went to Deepika because Katrina has her hands full with assignments.
