This Friday’s release Hisss starring Mallika Sherawat as a snake-woman has a somewhat similar plot. A nagin and her naag are separated in their most intimate moment - while mating - by an explorer. As the vengeful nagin sets out in search of her mate, she leaves behind a trail of dead bodies. The roles of similar deadly but righteous nagins have been played in the past by a host of actresses, from Vyjantimala and Reena Roy to Sridevi and Rekha.

Married to the successful director Abbas Tyrewala (script writer and also a dialogue writer), Pakhi is no doubt a creative lady. She penned ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ during her holidays in London and gives credit to her husband Abbas, who has polished her script writing skills. As a voracious reader, Pakhi is exposed to many literary works. She believes in her imagination and that makes writing so easy for her.
