Box Office Report: Jhootha Hi Sahi going better: Jhootha Hi Sahi box office update. Jhootha Hi Sahi, starring John Abraham and Pakhi, had a start with about 35 to 40 percent occupancy, but the mixed reviews it has got from critics isn’t going to help it pick up much in the days ahead.

Mallika Sherawat’s Hisss, which has been unanimously panned by every critic, had a good start at single screen theatres.

But the bad reviews and negative word of mouth might slow its run at box office.

Both Jhootha Hi Sahi and Hisss have got a poor start at the UK box office.

On the other hand Rakta Charitra, Ram Gopal Varma’s most violent film to date, had an excellent start in Andhra Pradesh. The film’s Telugu version is running to house-full shows, and the reason could be that the film is based on the story of the bloody rise to power of the Andhra politico Paritala Ravi, played by Vivek Oberoi in the film. In the north, however, Rakta Charitra (Hindi) got a below average response from cine buffs, with mere 25 to 30 percent occupancy in theatres.

Which of the three films will sail and which will sink at box office will be clearer by Monday.

'Jhootha Hi Sahi' John Abraham’s new film now release on 22 October: The release of John Abraham’s upcoming film Jhootha Hi Sahi  has been postponed by a week. The film was earlier supposed to release on October 15. Now it will hit the theatres on October 22.

The reason for the delay is that its music director A R Rahman requires more time to work on the film’s background score.

Director Abbas Tyrewala, who had Rahman for his first film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is willing to wait for Rahman to finish his work rather than release the film with tacky background score.

Producer Madhu Mantena confirmed the delay, saying, “It's true that we've decided to release Jhootha Hi Sahi on the 22nd of October instead of the 15th of October. It's only good, as we will utilise this extra time in promoting our film.”

The film has John pairing with Pakhi, who is the wife of director Abbas Tyrewala.
