Anushka Sharma got nervous to play with Rishi Kapoor

Anushka Sharma got nervous to play with Rishi Kapoor: She has worked with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan but still actress Anushka Sharma got nervous when she had to shoot with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor for her forthcoming film ‘Patiala House’.

‘When she was to shoot her first scene with Mr. Kapoor, she was found trembling,’ a source said.

‘Patiala House’ features Rishi Kapoor (Bauji) as an authoritarian head of a big Punjabi family, of whom the entire household is afraid.

Finally, Rishi broke the ice by speaking to Anushka and sharing his acting skills. He shared many of his experiences with her, which made the young actress comfortable.

‘Rishi Kapoor is without a doubt a veteran actor and Anushka though being new is a great performer and ‘Patiala House’ opens screens space for both in an interesting way,’ said Bhusan Kumar of T-Series, who is producing the film.

Directed by Nikhil Adwani, ‘Patiala House’ shows how a second-generation Sikh Guttu (Akshay Kumar) and his siblings in London held back their dreams, in love and respect for their authoritarian father (Rishi) until Guttu meets Simran (Anushka) who gives him the strength to stand up once again to fulfil his dream. This cross-generation drama is about second chances.

‘Patiala House’ is slated to release Feb 11.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor going Grandparents soon

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor going Grandparents soon: Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are going to be proud grandparents soon. Their daughter Riddhima Kapoor is expecting her first child in March next year.

Riddhima, who by profession is a designer and owns the brand ‘Ara’, got married to her beau Bharat Sahni, a Delhi-based garment exporter, on January 25, 2006. As the news of her pregnancy travelled to the Kapoor household, everyone is happy, thrilled as well as nervous. The most nervous in the family is grandpa-to-be Rishi Kapoor. As a source tells a tabloid, Rishi is a bit nervous about turning grandpa while Ranbir Kapoor is excited about becoming an uncle.

Rishi is still absorbing the great news and is quoted as saying, “We are delighted. I do not know how to react to this. It hasn’t seeped in yet.” Neetu and Rishi, who worked together after ages in the film Do Dooni Chaar, are now waiting for Riddhima to come home. She is in London, shopping for the tot’s clothes. As per traditions she will stay at her maternal home till the child is born.

Riddhima even missed Ranbir’s birthday because of her pregnancy.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's 'Do Dooni Chaar' premiere night

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's 'Do Dooni Chaar' premiere night: A rejuvenated Rishi Kapoor  and the ever-so-charming Neetu Singh, stole the limelight at the premiere of their film Do Dooni Chaar at PVR, Juhu, Wednesday, October 6.

Walking the red carpet, Neetu beamed as Rishi endearingly held on to her. The couple proudly posed for photographs with son Ranbir Kapoor who discretely remained on the sidelines.

And why shouldn't he have? Rishi and Neetu were once Bollywood's most successful screen couple and Do Dooni Chaar pairs them on screen for the first time since their marriage in 1980!
Neetu, 52, wore an ivory ensemble: a sparkly, slim fitting, self patterned, long sleeves kurta with front button detail; matching churidar, and self patterned dupatta.

She accessorized with studded sandals, dazzling pearl drop earrings, and a chunky emerald ring on her right hand ring finger.

Her shoulder length hair was superbly styled away from her face. She wore nude lip gloss, thick eyeliner and pink eye shadow.

Rishi Kapoor, 58, looked a charmer in pink plaid shirt and gray suit sans a tie.

Ranbir was dressed in casuals - white Tee, blue distressed jeans, blue suede finish jacket and tan suede shoes.

Neetu and Rishi were last seen together in Duniya Meri Jeb Mein (1979).

Do Dooni Chaar will be their 11th film together, if Neetu's blink-and-you-will-miss-it appearance in Kal Aaj Aur Kal is ignored.

In the film, the two play a middle class couple - Mr and Mrs Duggal - who are struggling to make ends meet in the fast, new 'India Shining'.

The film is funny, real and heart warming, say a lot of Bollywood stars who have seen previews.

Those who came out to support the couple's new film included Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kohli, Abhinav Kashyap, Swanand Kirkire, Anushka Sharma and Manjari Phadnis.

The film is due in theaters on October 8.
