Aamir Khan to follow Shahrukh Khan on Twitter!

Aamir Khan On Twitter: Aamir Khan,  the perfectionist Khan of bollywood who is presently busy with the promotion of forthcoming flick ‘Peepli Live’ and had recently joined the micro- blogging site twitter, has promised to add the  name of King Khan to the list of his friends and would follow him on the site.
Aamir also clarified that he was not following all of his friends on twitter and Shah Rukh Khan was only one of them, hence  not following him should not be taken in any other way. However, when pressed further by the reporters, the perfectionist Khan said that he would love to follow Shah Rukh Khan on twitter.

In fact, media was speculating that Aamir Khan was not following Shah Rukh Khan on twitter only because of his past history of bitter rivalry with him. This was especially being seen in that light when Aamir Khan had the time to follow Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar and his own nephew Imran Khan(of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ fame) on twitter but not King Khan.

It may be recalled that Aamir Khan joined the micro- blogging site on the insistence of Amitabh Bachchan, who wanted him to be on the site and be connected with his numerous fans all over the world. Aamir Khan also needed the medium as his latest production ‘Peepli Live’ was due for release and required to be promoted through all mediums.

Though the occasion was for the promotion of Anusha Rizvi’s ‘Peepli Live’, but Aamir Khan was being asked all the other questions except the flick. So much so that he was asked to comment on Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s marriage to Sakshi.

And a sporting Aamir not only congratulated Dhoni on his marriage but even sang a birthday song for the captain, whose birthday fell on July 7. Aamir Khan was at his humorous best and continued to crack jokes with the media persons till the end.

However, he took pains to remove the impression that Aamir Khan Productions’ ‘Peepli Live’ was about farmer’s suicide. In fact, he termed the picture to be a satirical work, which tried to draw attention towards urban-rural divide in the country.

Raghuvir Yadav plays the lead character in the film. His character is a farmer called Natha. Other artistes have been taken from the rural theatre background. Debutante Anusha Rizvi has written-directed the flick for Aamir Khan Productions.
