Aishwarya Rai: Sanjay Dutt's 'Lamhaa' dialogue apparently mocks Ash?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan News: In Rahul Dholakia’s upcoming film Lamhaa, which is based on the turmoil in the Kashmir valley, there is a dialogue that apparently mocks Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai.
Anupam Kher who plays a Kashmiri separatist leader says in one scene: “When Aishwarya Rai is unable to see the moon it makes news. But why don’t the media report the plight of those thousands of Kashmiri wives who haven’t seen their husbands for years?”

This dialogue, in fact, was in reality spoken by a Kashmiri leader at a time when the valley was going through much unrest. However, director Rahul Dholakia and the film’s cast, particularly Anupam Kher and Sanjay Dutt, were unsure how the Bachchans would react to such a dialogue.

So we hear that Sanjay Dutt actually took the promo to Amitabh Bachchan and showed it to him. Big B was fine with the dialogue because he understood that Ash’s name was used as a metaphor for glamour that media often focuses on rather than giving attention to important issues.
