Karan Johar shocked by popularity of  Madhuri Dixit!: When Karan Johar started seeking a fitting guest to accompany Madhuri Dixit on his show Koffee With Karan, he was shocked by the number of calls he got. Every other actress wanted to share the couch with Mads.

Sipping a cuppa with the one and only Madhuri Dixit sounds super-exciting to our young set of actresses. Karan tells a tabloid, “I can’t say I'm amazed by Madhuri's popularity. When I decided to invite her on my show I didn't know that her popularity seeps down right to the youngest of Bollywood.”

The TV show host was flooded with requests, and whenever any Bollywood babe called him, he knew what the reason behind that was. Karan couldn’t decide whom he should call along side Madhuri. Now as per reports, it’s Sonkashi Sinha who will get lucky to be with Mads on Karan’s show.

But we think getting Dr Shriram Nene, husband of Madhuri, would have been a better choice as Karan’s show mainly has had real-life couples and we can’t remember when Madhuri came on a talk show with her dear hubby.

This was the couple’s first appearance on a TV show.

So, what was the highlight of the episode? The chemistry between the couple and the revelation that a serious-looking guy like Mahesh can also crack jokes. The high point of the episode was when Mahesh tells Karan that he calls Lara a “serial killer” as the lady had done quite a few romantic scenes in her films. Lara was taken aback but was quick to rejoin that this title belongs exclusively to Emraan Hashmi.

The couple talked openly about their relationship and how they are completely smitten with each other.

In the meantime, his dulhan-to-be, Avantika has been shouldering the stress of wedding planning. Now, Karan Johar has come to their rescue.

For starters, Karan has taken the responsibility of designing the wedding dresses of both Imran and Avantika. He has gotten in touch with his friends Manish Malhotra and Varun Bahl, both designers, and given them specific instruction about wedding dresses.

We hear that an ashen-orange coloured lehenga is being designed for Avantika. Imran will be given a traditional dress for the Mehendi ceremony on January 8 and a western suit for the wedding on January 10.

Not just for Imran and Avantika, KJo is also designing a dress for Aamir Khan, Imran’s mamujaan, and his son Junaid.

Imran is deeply touched by all the effort that K-Jo is making for their wedding.

Now, Karan has proved the speculations right by releasing the first look of the film which is titled Student Of The Year, and guess who else is producing the film, his good friend Shahrukh Khan.

Yes, the promotion of Student Of The Year has started online. Karan Johar, using his Twitter handle, posted the first look of the film which has three posters featuring the young actors Varun, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.

Keeping the promise to promote youngsters, Karan has come up with this youthful film which can remind many of his first film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which also had a college set-up. Varun and Siddharth already have an experience in film-making as they have assisted various directors.

Salman Khan on 'Koffee With Karan' coming up next!; After Shahrukh Khan’s candid confessions on buddy Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan, it’s Salman Khan’s turn to open up.

We hear that Salman has accepted the invitation to Karan’s show, an exception considering that Sallu hardly makes an appearance on any chat show. So far, he has appeared only on Farah Khan’s show Tere Mere Beach Mein.

It’s no secret that Salman and Karan Johar has been bonding well lately. The latter’s equation with Shahrukh never came in the way of their camaraderie. And initially, Karan did want Salman to appear on KWK with Aamir Khan.

But when Aamir tagged up with wife Kiran Rao for a special KWK episode, Karan went ahead with a solo appearance of Salman.

It would be interesting to see what frank disclosures Salman makes on the show.

Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Nanda in Koffee with Karan: Koffee with Karan season 3 has its own flavor with the stars invited by the host KJO to give every possible insight about their lives which turns out to be quite a great treat for the host and the viewers too.

The last episode of the cheesy chat show had the charismatic father daughter duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan who were an absolute delight to watch from every perspective.

As Karan invited Big B on the posh leather crested couch there was an instant bonding between the two that could be felt as Big B very comfortably answered to every question with a glint in his eyes.

Then as Shweta arrived in an all red ensemble she looked the epitome of fashion –very elegant!

Thus began the actual banter which went on to the GK quiz and then the Rapid fire round. The rapid fire round was quite interesting with questions like what is the one thing that you don’t like about Ash? Or What is the one thing that you would like to change about Ash?

Well, the first question was asked to Big B and he said he wanted her to change her timings. The second question put to Shweta was answered by her very confidently as she simply said- ‘nothing’- which meant she did not want to change anything about Ash.

Well, that was really something! The best part was when KJO was heard admitting to the fact that he had played a vital role in making Ash and Abhi a couple at which Big B was surprised as he was not aware of any such thing.

However Big B did say that he was quite happy that Ash had come to their home and she was just like a daughter to him and Jayaji. One daughter left and another entered! Lucky Ash!

Well, the show did prove that KJO and Shweta were really cool with each other and great friends too. The show was indeed KOOL!

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor in Koffee With Karan: Karan Johar hosts one of the most entertaining episodes of Koffee With Karan at 9 pm tonight on Star World as he gets the hot couple of Tinseltown, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, who break-up only to patch-up again, to dance to his music.

Karan, who has stirred many controversies by his pointed questions, makes sure that he gets enough fodder from the two to make eyebrows rise. While Shahid got candid about his relationships and even spoke about his hot ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, it was Priyanka who brought the catty-ness to show by giving Bebo a taste of her own medicine.

Kareena, in an earlier episode, had said that she wants to ask Priyanka where she got her accent from and in this episode the Fashion girl answers her back by saying that she got her accent from the same place where Bebo's boyfriend Saif Ali Khan acquired his. Karan, of course, holds the reigns of the show with masterful ease.

He gets pokey too at both the stars as he constantly probes them on whether they are seeing each other or not. Though the two don't admit it, they don't deny having a scene either. Shahid and Priyanka sure will show the world a new definition of being coy!

However, they do admit that their decision to come with each other on the show was mutual and that when Karan's offer was on, they spoke and exchanged messages before they gave the nod as they were not getting any partners to team up in such a quick time.

We hear that the chemistry between Shahid and Priyanka is super on the show and coupled with Karan's aggressive probing, it sure was an electric shoot!

No talking term with Salman and Farah is Shahrukh Khan's fault!: In a season when Koffee With Karan has made news for questionable remarks, Shahrukh Khan has felt free to constructed a quite humble induction on the show.

The superstar showed up on the show apart from everyone else and was his enchanting and real to life ideal. When host and dost Karan Johar inquired of SRK concerning the folks who are no longer on talking terms with him, SRK gave an amazing answer.

“Shah Rukh said that if they weren't talking to him, it could probably be his fault,” a source is quoted to have told a tabloid.

Obviously, Karan was alluding to Salman Khan - who hasn’t talked with SRK since his quarrel with him on Katrina Kaif’s birthday in 2008.

Farah Khan, on the other hand, fell out with her once-favourite friend after SRK reportedly objected to her leaving him out of her film Tees Maar Khan and signing Akshay Kumar instead.

Anyway, Shahrukh’s admission that his spat with Salman and Farah were probably due to his own fault shows how introspective and humble he can be.

That’s why we love him all the more.

Priyanka recently appeared on the show along with Shahid Kapoor and while speaking to the show’s host took repeated jibes at Bebo, Shahid’s ex.

Kareena too had passed a taunt at Priyanka on the show earlier when she said: “I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from.”

Replying to the jibe, Priyanka told KJo: “I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend (Saif Ali Khan) got his.”

Common PC, why drag poor Saif into it?

Priyanka did not stop at that. She went almost to the extent of mocking Bebo as she acknowledged her compliment that she (Priyanka) is a good actress.

“I'm flattered that Kareena thinks I am a good actress...But otherwise I don't think people take Bebo too seriously,” Priyanka joked.

Wonder what Bebo would have to say to that!

In fact, when Karan directly questioned them, ‘Are you a real-life couple?’ the duo didn’t give a direct answer. As a source tells a tabloid, “The answer was so non-committal and long-winded that even the seasoned host was left scratching his head.”

It’s learnt that the two decided to come on the show to just show that they are not into each other anymore. Well, whatever be the case with these two stunning people of Bollywood, they should never forget that ishq aur mushq chhupaye nahi chhupte.

Salman wants to credit money into his account for attending 'Koffee With Karan': Salman Khan will be seen on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan but it comes at a cost! No, he's not asked Karan to ditch his best friend and Salman's arch rival SRK but instead is charging a whopping 50 lakhs to come for his show.

An industry source told Mumbai Mirror, "Sometime back, Karan had asked Bhai (Salman) to come on the show. And Bhai told him that he was willing to come on the show if he was paid."

Karan pointed out to the Dabangg actor that none of the guests on the show were paid to which Salman said that he didn't want money for himself but for his charity, Being Human.

Buzz is that since the channel will not shell out that kind of money, Karan is willing to personally pay the actor to have him on the show.

No one knows if Salman Khan was serious or was he just pulling KJo's leg!
